I started to show interest in this particular 'topic' when i was finish my final exam. Man, it was freedom after all the hard work! While waiting for result and University entry,i found myself in boredom and clueless. It was long holiday and my life is doing the same thing day after day even though i'm in japan that time. One day, i drop by at the book store i found this interesting book by Allan and Barbara Pease"The Definitive Book of Body Language"(this is great book to read) Then i realize that im starting to like more about psychology. Every night i serve on internet to look every little detail about psychology. I been self studying for almost 3 month alone and it change my perspective and point of view towards life.It has transform a new me. I helps A LOT!. Now, i feel more confident about myself, i can solve my problem without nobody helps, i'm more aware about my surrounding, i can inter prate someone feelings and emotion, and so fourth. Plus, i can be part time counselor. haha just kidding! ;)

So today, i want to show something cool that i learn to guys. Its simple i want you to take s sheet of paper and a pencil. I want you to draw this following on the sheet of paper . It can be big as the whole page and smallest as a dot. It doesnt matter. Draw at your own will.

For every picture has its own interpretation. When you draw this picture,i want you to feel what best for you. Do not follow your friends or whatsoever. This will show your true personalities if it done correctly..After you finish drawing, i want you to hold that in your thought. The Most Advanced Quadruped Robot on Earth

BigDog is the alpha male of the Boston Dynamics family of robots. It is a quadruped robot that walks, runs, and climbs on rough terrain and carries heavy loads. BigDog is powered by a gasoline engine that drives a hydraulic actuation system. BigDog's legs are articulated like an animal’s, and have compliant elements that absorb shock and recycle energy from one step to the next. BigDog is the size of a large dog or small mule, measuring 1 meter long, 0.7 meters tall and 75 kg weight.BigDog is being developed by Boston Dynamics with the goal of creating robots that have rough-terrain mobility that can take them anywhere on Earth that people and animals can go. The program is funded by the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA).

Mechatronics? You guys probably wonder what is mechatronics all about. Base on wikipedia, the definition of mechatronic is the combination of mechanics, electronics, control engineering, computing and molecular engineering which make possible the generation more simpler, more economical, reliable and versatile systems. From my point of view, i define mechatronics isthe science to produce intelligent and highly performance motion profiles with simple mechanics.Mechatronics is a difficult term to define. It covers a lot of territory and is, as one comment mentions, almost meaningless because it is so broad. I think the term is mecha- due to the fact that every application is bounded by its mechanical design as a starting point. The -tronics is intended to capture the electronics element as either control or power, and sometimes both.But somehow the more we try to define, the harder it is to put a fence on what field of endeavor we are in. Its fairly easy to identify mechatronics when looking at a robot or a machine tool. Specialty machinery in all the major fields, medical packaging, food industry applications, large data storage systems, are all identifiable as applications of mechatronics.

Has Mechatronic contribute something to our needs? yes, indeed! For instance, Wind Power? Mechatronic. Find the ideal turbine or blade configuration to turn a gear train that spins an electric generator. The lower the minimum wind speed that the system will operate at and the higher the efficiency, the more energy that can be harvested from the wind. You probably never think of this but most CD and DVD players have a mechatronic solution for loading the disk, a spindle drive to spin the disk and a mechanism to move the read head across the tracks of the platter to read the information and controls to coordinate all those activities. Audio or video.

So in addition to all buzz about mechatronics’ contribution to industry, there are emerging markets and applications that will make a difference in our energy consumption patterns, national security interests and improve our environment. All at the same time. Therefore, these are the reasons why i decide to take mechatronic engineering in UniMAP. There are a lot of potential i can see from this university in fulfilling every engineer dreams. I also believe that UniMAP have what it takes to produce quality student in future . I personally, have made a right choice in choosing this university as my dream to be a successful engineer .
